The Cultural Division of the Taipei Representative Office in Italy has inaugurated the art exhibition titled “Interconnected Hearts (心信相連)” on Nov. 11 at the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to the Holy See, presenting Taiwanese art infused with digital technologies.
Curated by Italian artist Sita Spada, “Interconnected Hearts” presents a symbolic selection of works by three contemporary artists representing the Taiwanese dimension and evoking complementary perceptions—visual, auditory, tactile, and immersive. The featured artists are Hung Yu-hao (洪譽豪), Huang Chien-hua (黃建樺), and Huang Meng-chin (黃盟欽).
The artists also collaborated on “Collective Convergence,” a triptych reflecting Catholicism’s influence in Taiwan, illustrating how religious faith transcends time and space while connecting diverse cultures and individuals.
Matthew S.M. Lee (李世明), Taiwanese Ambassador to the Holy See, remarked that the advanced technologies should be harnessed to safeguard human dignity and promote peace. He stressed that Taiwan is committed to ethical AI development in order to ensure that technology can bring positive impacts.
The exhibition runs through Feb. 14, 2025. For more information, visit the event's website.
