Supported by the Ministry of Culture and the Taiwan Cultural Center in Paris, the 2024 Jazzycolors Festival, a renowned French jazz event, will feature Debby Wang and DAT Quartet on Nov. 20 at l’Entrepôt in France’s capital city.
Dedicated to exploring music from diverse cultures, Debby Wang and DAT Quartet comprises Taiwanese vibraphonist and composer Debby Wang (王思雅), pianist Yoko Suzuki, bassist Yuta Omino, and drummer Hiroki Kitazawa. Following their performance in Paris, the band will play in Austria’s Vienna on Nov. 22 and in Italy’s Milan on Nov. 23.
Established in 2003 by the Forum des Instituts Culturels Étrangers à Paris (FICEP), Jazzycolors has grown into one of Paris’s most celebrated jazz festivals. Taking place from Nov. 7 to Dec. 9, the 2024 edition will feature 22 captivating performances by leading jazz musicians from around the world.
The Taiwan Cultural Center in Paris noted its role as a bridge connecting Taiwanese music performers with the festival, fostering international music exchange and showcasing the distinctive charm of Taiwanese jazz.
