The Cultural Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Spain, in collaboration with Chini Gallery (采泥藝術), will host Taiwan Art Week in Madrid 2025 from Mar. 5 to 9 at the contemporary art fair Art Madrid
Organized by Chini Gallery, Taiwan Art Week in Madrid 2025 will showcase works by three Taiwanese artists – Teng Pu-chun (鄧卜君), Wang Su-ling (王淑鈴), and Chou Ching-hui (周慶輝).
Additionally, Taiwanese calligrapher Ho Ching-chwang (何景窗) has been invited to participate in the Hybrid Art Fair from Mar. 6 to 9. Partnering with Indigenous dancer Taboeh a‘Oebay Tataysi’ (絲釋民), the artist will present his work titled “Ink from the East and the West (東墨西墨)” on Mar. 8.
Augusta Chang (張祐瑄), the head of the Cultural Division at TECO in Spain, emphasized that the selected Taiwanese artworks—spanning painting and photography—resonate with elements of Spanish surrealism, aiming to challenge traditional boundaries. Chang said that, by continuously presenting Taiwanese art at major international events, they hope to highlight Taiwan’s rich and dynamic creative energy.
