Czech Music Crossroads to feature Taiwan as Focus Country

With support from the Ministry of Culture, the Cultural Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Prague is collaborating with the Czech Music Crossroads to feature Taiwan as the Focus Country for the first time, inviting three music groups to perform in the Czech Republic.

The lineup includes the Taiwu Ballads Troupe and Dungi Sapor (泰武古謠傳唱與DJ汝妮), WOOONTA (問他跨界樂團), and Musicians’ House (琴人樂坊). In addition, music manager Peiti Huang (黃珮迪) has been invited to deliver talks in the Czech Republic, sharing insights into current trends in Taiwan’s popular music industry.

The Cultural Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Prague emphasized that the significance of this festival as a pivotal platform for both B2B and B2C interactions within the music market. By being featured as the Focus Country, Taiwan’s popular musicians will gain opportunities for greater international collaboration.

The Czech Music Crossroads will take place in Ostrava, the third-largest city in Czechia, from June 19 to 21. This year’s edition will spotlight Taiwan and Estonia, featuring 15 music groups and a series of talks by arts professionals from around the world, who will share their knowledge and experiences in the music industry.
