Produced by Riverbed Theatre (河床劇團), "All That Remains (遺留)," a short film that merges contemporary theater and 360-degree virtual reality, was selected for the Venice Immersive section at the 79th Venice International Film Festival (VIFF). "All That Remains" had its world premiere on Sep. 1 and will be screened through Sep. 10 in Venice, Italy. The film's director Craig Quintero (郭文泰) hopes it creates a moment for the audience to explore the possibilities that exist beyond everyday patterns and blur the lines between truth and fiction.

According to the press release issued by Riverbed Theatre, "All That Remains" is the first virtual reality work transformed from their immersive theater "Just for You Project (開房間計劃)." The project started in 2011 and features only one audience member at a time, aiming to blur the boundaries between performers and spectators. The show gives a vibe similar to an immersive VR experience, which inspired the VR film production.

Yu Yu-hsin (游育歆) and Ollie Huang (黃致愷) are the main cast of "All That Remains," combining the unique camera language of VR films and the intimacy of "Just for You Project." "All That Remains" is a meditation on the fluid boundary between dream and reality, fear and desire.

Director Yen Hung-ya (鴻鴻) commented that the work demonstrates the fascinating characteristics of Riverbed Theatre: intimacy, dreamlikeness, unhealed wounds, repressed desire, and weird humor.

Soon after the completion of the film "All That Remains" by the end of this April, it was chosen for the Venice International Film Festival. Riverbed Theatre stated that it is also the first film of the "Just for You" VR trilogy. "Over the Rainbow (彩虹彼端)" will be coming up as their next VR film release.
