Taiwanese artists to participate in New York congresses for performing arts

Supported by the Taipei Cultural Center in New York (TCCNY), performing arts groups from Taiwan are invited to perform and engage in the upcoming International Society for the Performing Arts (ISPA) Congress and the Association of Performing Arts Professionals (APAP) Conference, which will take place in New York from Jan. 9 to 11 and Jan. 12 to 16, respectively. 

 

The ISPA is a global network of more than 500 leaders in the performing arts with representation from more than 185 cities and all regions of the globe. Taiwanese performing arts group Huang Yi Studio (黃翊工作室) is invited to showcase their latest work in the ISPA Congress Pitch New Works session, while independent project manager Hsu Tzu-yin (許慈茵) and co-founder of the Small Island Big Song (小島大歌) project BaoBao Chen (陳玟臻) have been selected to participate in the "2023-2025 Taiwan Fellowship Program." 

 

The APAP is one of the most outstanding platforms for the exchange and resource sharing of performing arts professionals in the U.S. Noted Taiwanese dance groups such as the Bulareyaung Dance Company (布拉瑞揚舞團) and Hung Dance (翃舞製作) are invited to perform in the APAP 2024 event.
