6 Taiwanese films selected for the 2022 SIFF

The 2022 Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF) will run from April 14 to 24, featuring 6 Taiwanese films including "Moneyboys (金錢男孩)," "Listen Before You Sing (聽見歌再唱)," "Execution in Autumn (秋決)," "Night Bus (夜車)," "Part Forever (永別)," and "Tank Fairy (桶妝仙女)." These films will be screened in person and available virtually for the whole festival.

Among the highlights are the films "Listen Before You Sing," which reflects on the regional disparities in education through melodious singing by indigenous people; "Moneyboys," which depicts a story of gay romance and was selected for Cannes and Hawaii International Film Festival; the classic work of 1972, "Execution in Autumn," was the winner of 5 Golden Horse Awards including Best Feature Film; the horror animated short film "Night Bus," winner of the Short Film Jury Award: Animation of the 2022 Sundance Film Festival. The spotlight also features two short films: the queer work "Tank Fairy" was selected for this year's SXSW Film Festival; "Part Forever," which confronts the darkness of humanity and was selected for the Sitges Film Festival of Spain. This year, the Taiwanese films for selection are attention-grabbing, digging deeper into multiple topics.

Founded in 1976, SIFF is among the top film festivals in North America traditionally attracting nearly 150,000 attendees to celebrate films from more than 80 countries. This year's SIFF lineup includes over 260 films. For more information, please visit: https://www.siff.net/festival/film-finder-2022.
