SI MoCCA Arts Festival to feature Taiwanese comic artists

Two distinguished Taiwanese comic artists, Eli Lin (依萊) and Pam Pam Liu, have been invited to participate in the Society of Illustrators (SI) MoCCA Arts Festival in New York City, scheduled to take place on March 16 and 17.

The SI MoCCA Arts Festival is a two-day multimedia event held at the Metropolitan Pavilion in the heart of Chelsea. It stands as New York City’s largest independent comics and cartoon festival, drawing over 9,000 attendees each year.

Eli Lin’s artworks are a testament to her mastery of skillful lines and vivid colors, incorporating elements of fashion, costume, and history into her creations. She has been nominated four times at the prestigious Angoulême International Comics Festival in France.

Pam Pam Liu is renowned for her manga series and illustrations, drawing inspiration from everyday life. Her black humor resonates deeply with readers. Warmly received by European readers, her comics, “Toi et moi le jour de la grande catastrophe (我們的災難)” and “A Trip to Asylum (瘋人院之旅),” have been published in French.
