Internationally acclaimed film director Tsai Ming-liang’s (蔡明亮) latest work “Abiding Nowhere (無所住)” will premiere at the Smithsonian Museum of Asian Art in the U.S. on Mar. 1. It is the 10th installment of his “Walker (行者)” series, debuted in the Berlin International Film Festival on Feb. 20.
“Abiding Nowhere” is commissioned by the Smithsonian National Museum of Asian Art to celebrate the museum’s 100th anniversary. This project is supported by the Ministry of Culture and co-produced with the Taiwan Public Television Service (公共電視). It was filmed in Washington D.C. in the U.S., featuring landmarks such as the Washington Monument and the Washington Union Station.
The premiere will take place at the Meyer Auditorium of the Smithsonian National Museum of Asian Art, followed by a video Q&A session with Tsai Ming-liang and lead actors Lee Kang-sheng (李康生) and Anong Houngheuangsy.
