With support from the Ministry of Culture, the Taipei Cultural Center in New York (TCCNY), Hong-gah Museum (鳳甲美術館) and the EXPO Chicago will jointly present the “Taiwan Video Art Selection – Interwoven Timelines” program from Apr. 24 to 27. Marking Taiwan’s first official showcase at EXPO Chicago, the program highlights the diversity and vibrancy of contemporary video art from Taiwan.

The selection features seven Taiwanese artists , including Chen Liang-hsuan (陳亮璇), Chen Yin-ju (陳瀅如), Hsu Chia-wei (許家維), Liu Yu (劉玗), Wu Sih-chin (吳思嶔), Wu Chi-yu (吳其育), and Zhang Xu-zhan (張徐展).

EXPO Chicago is one of the most prominent contemporary art fairs in the Midwestern United States. TCCNY has collaborated with the EXPO for three consecutive years through the Curatorial Exchange program, building a strong partnership in the international art community.

Zoe Yeh Chia-jung (葉佳蓉), curator of “Taiwan Video Art Selection – Interwoven Timelines” and director of Hong-gah Museum, was invited to participate in the Curatorial Exchange last year. Her appointment as curator of this year’s program reflects Hong-gah Museum’s continued success in promoting international exchange through Taiwanese video art.
