The Tea Philo (哲學茶席), a monthly event revolving around discussion of philosophies and humanities, co-organized by the Cultural Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Malaysia and INXO Arts & Culture Foundation, invited Taiwanese artist and designer Ho Chia-hsing (何佳興) to deliver a talk on Mar. 30 at the Purple Cane Tea Square in Kuala Lumpur.
During the session, Ho Chia-hsing shared his insights on Taiwanese traditional cultures, along with ideas for modernizing traditions and utilizing design to foster cross-cultural connections.
Tea Philo is a monthly series of sharing sessions revolving around the discussion of philosophies and humanities. Launched in April 2017, it aims to build cultural and social awareness. Luminaries from Taiwan are invited to Malaysia to share their experiences and engage with local communities.
Ho Chia-hsing is an award-winning designer who has been recognized with various awards such as the Golden Butterfly Award and the Golden Pin Design Award. His notable works include art designs for Cloud Gate Dance Theatre’s performance “13 Tongues (十三聲),” as well as the books “Love in the 1980s (1980 年代的愛情),” and “Le Moulin (日曜日式散步者:風車詩社及其時代).”
