The RAN Focus program was held in collaboration with Mori Art Museum and the Taiwan Cultural Center in Tokyo, and was orchestrated by the Taiwan Contemporary Culture Lab (C-LAB). The featured artists include Watermelon Sisters (西瓜姐妹), Kiki Shing (辛綺), MeimageDance by Ho Hsiao-mei (何曉玫), Yuan Goang-ming (袁廣鳴), Chen Pu (陳普), Aka Chang (張方禹), and Tsai & Yoshikawa (蔡筱淇 & 吉川公野).
In addition, this year’s Roppongi Art Night opening ceremony also included Ho Hsiao-mei’s “New Paradise of Silent Island (默島新樂園),” which depicts Taiwan’s traditional temple culture through modern dance.
Lee Yi-yang (李逸洋), Taiwanese representative to Japan, said that this year’s Roppongi Art Night featured a record-breaking number of Taiwanese artists, each of whom representing Taiwan’s unique culture and its innovation.
