The 2025 edition of Art Capital in Paris was inaugurated at the Grand Palais on Feb. 18, featuring works by 23 Taiwanese artists. The exhibition ran until Feb. 22.
This marks the highest number of Taiwanese artists featured in this event to date, including 19 members of the Taiwan Academy of Fine Arts, as well as artists Kuo Yu-chen (郭豫珍), Chen Chun-yu (陳君瑜), Chang Che-chia (張哲嘉), and A-Sun Wu (吳炫三).
Supported by French Ministry of Culture, the Art Capital in Paris was founded in 1884 and has become one of the most important art events in France and worldwide, attracting approximately 40,000 visitors every year.
Liang Yung-fei (梁永斐), Ministry of Culture Counselor and Taiwan Academy of Fine Arts Fellow, noted that Taiwan’s participation in Art Capital aims to showcase the spirit and aesthetics of Taiwanese artists on the global scene. He added that each featured work reflects a unique style and character, embodying Taiwan’s values of democracy and inclusivity.
Established in 2010, the Taiwan Academy of Fine Arts is dedicated to promoting artistic development, fostering international exchange, and enhancing Taiwan’s global presence in the arts.
