The Department of Cultural and Creative Development of the Ministry of Culture is composed of four divisions. Its functions include the following:


  • Planning, integrating, coordinating, and supervising the nation's policies in relation to cultural and creative industries.
  • Researching and revising the nation's legislation in relation to cultural and creative industries.
  • Fostering talented individuals in the field of cultural and creative industries; fostering overseas and cross-strait exchanges in relation to cultural and creative industries.
  • Researching, collecting, and publishing information and statistics related to the nation's cultural and creative industries.
  • Planning, offering, and promoting incentives such as awards, subsidies, and financial assistance to the nation's cultural and creative industries.
  • Coordinating, assessing, supervising, evaluating, and rewarding the nation's cultural and creative parks.
  • Researching and implementing the use of new technologies in relation to cultural and creative industries.
  • Researching and implementing programs that will foster cross-sector partnerships and cooperation in the cultural and creative industries.
  • Researching and implementing programs that will integrate the cultural and creative industries with the latest technologies.
  • Supervising and guiding the nation's corporations and foundations in relation to cultural and creative industries.
  • All other developments related to the nation's cultural and creative industries.
