Art Taipei 2015 enjoys grand opening

More than 150 international art galleries and artists from around the world will join the opening of Art Taipei, one of Asia’s three top art trade fairs, on Oct. 30 at the Taipei World Trade Center.

Building on two decades of experience, Art Taipei 2015 has garnered the interest of 168 art galleries from 20 nations and territories, including China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, U.S., Dubai, Israel, France, Italy, Russia, Switzerland, U.K., and Australia.

As a major gateway to the vast Asian art market, Art Taipei 2015 will encompass 345 international artists and 3,000 artworks. Last year’s record-breaking attendance of 70,000 visitors paved the way for NT$1.1 billion (US$3.389 million) in deals, leading expectations for exceeding that amount this year.
