To celebrate the inauguration of Taiwan’s most-advanced art vault, a special exhibition will be held inside the new storage space to showcase the latest technology employed by the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts in preserving its collections.

The new facilities provide special archive rooms that are vibration-proof, low-temperature rooms, low-temperature bug-proof rooms, restoration rooms, photography rooms, film and audiovisual rooms, and study rooms, all of which offer the function to independently control temperature and humidity.

Systems of inert gas, safety management, and radio-frequency identification (RFID) are also built in for locating collections and managing staff members and archives. The project came with a price tag of NT$602 million (US$18 million).

More information on the three-month exhibition can be found here.
