Taiwanese opera costumes exhibition in Pingtung

The Taiwanese Opera & Puppet Museum in Pingtung is hosting the "Box Pop Up! Exhibition of Taiwanese Opera Costumes," presenting stage costumes, backstage photos, and paraphernalia, providing exhibitor-goers a glimpse of the fascinating theatrical life.

TiBE online exhibition launch

The Taipei International Book Exhibition (TiBE) 2021 will be a combination of physical and virtual events. The physical exhibition will commence from Jan. 26 through 31. The online exhibition portion has kicked off on Dec. 29.

"As We Like It," a feature film by Taiwanese directors Wei Ying-chuan, and Chen Hung-i has been selected to premiere in the Big Screen Competition of the 50th International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR).

Yan Jhen-fa has seldom met any movie stars, yet he has brought to life many with his brushes. Over the past few decades, it has become a routine for Yan to carry small images and five buckets of paint to the sidewalk across the street from the Chuan Mei Theater in Tainan City to paint film posters.

Cultural Historian | Chuang Yung-ming

Chuang Yung-ming's passion and enthusiasm led to him becoming an expert in folk culture and history. In addition to collecting Taiwanese cultural artifacts and writing numerous books, Chuang also served as a historical guide for "Dadaocheng Tour," helping more than 10,000 people explore Taipei.
