At this year's arts and cultural gathering "kah lí tàu-tīn" hosted by the General Association of Chinese Culture (GACC), its chairperson President Tsai Ing-wen expressed in a speech that she cherished this opportunity to gather with people from cultural circles and hopes that everyone can work on pandemic prevention for the coming new year.

MOC has proposed awarding a presidential citation posthumously to the founder of Meinong Hakka Bayin music troupe Chung Tsai-hsiang, who passed away on Jan. 7 at the age of 85, in recognition of his life-long contribution to the preservation and inheritance of Hakka Bayin music.
