Minister reveals national pop music policy

Minister Cheng Li-chiun names five aspects ― cultural financing, cultural technology, upgrade of cultural equipment, cultural education, and international branding ― that will help Taiwan music become a driving force behind the development of cultural content.

National Cultural Award honors writer, filmmaker

Premier Lai Ching-te conferred the National Cultural Award to artist-writer Hsieh Li-fa and filmmaker-scriptwriter Wu Nien-jen at a ceremony held in Taipei on April 26. Both are prolific artists who have been promoting Taiwan culture and creating works for decades.
