The Longci Light Festival, exploring a theme of "natural revival," will feature 12 teams organized by artists, comic artists, and members of the local community to present 14 pieces of giant light artworks.
Taiwanese contemporary sculpture artist Hong Yi will simultaneously hold solo exhibitions at Taipei 101 in Taiwan, Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias in Spain, and Artspace K in Hong Kong through Feb. 28.
The 2021 Taiwan International Light Festival (TILF) will take place at the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (NTMoFA) in Taichung from Feb. 6 through Mar. 28.

Unboxing ceremony for Hung Rui-lin
The Taichung-based NTMFA held an unboxing ceremony for the paintings by the late Taiwanese artist Hung Rui-lin, that have been donated to MOC. The large collection of artworks that span many years will be conserved, digitized, and shown to the public by NTMFA.
Technology installed to protect temple relics
Two air ionizers have been installed in the Tainan City Grand Matsu Temple as part of an anti-pollution program launched by TMACH to protect cultural relics in Taiwan's temples, which have been damaged by salt weathering, grease and smoke particles.
Three films from Taiwan contend for the Oscars
Three films from Taiwan will be contending for nominations at the 93 Academy Awards, including the well-acclaimed "A Sun" for Best International Feature Film, "The Luggage" for Best Live Action Short Film, and "Little Hilly" for Best Animated Short Film.

Well-acclaimed Taiwan film "A Sun" is directed by Chung Mong-hong. As a filmmaker, Chung insisted on making films that follow his ideas and aesthetics instead of manufacturing commercial-oriented productions. He hopes that his films will provoke audiences to re-think their lives and see things from a different perspective.
