National literature museum unveils goals for 2018
To highlight the significance of literature in everyday life, the National Museum of Taiwan Literature will hold a yearlong series of events re-scrutinizing the relationship among museums, humans, and literary works.
Taiwan to hold forum on Southeast Asian literature
To promote a more comprehensive understanding of Southeast Asian literature among Taiwan readers, the Ministry of Culture will invite Southeast Asia authors to visit Taipei, Tainan, and Taichung for a series of forums from March 2 through 6.

Jiing Yng-ruey is a film collector who pioneered the preservation and restoration of Taiwanese films. He is credited with changing the objective of the Taiwan Film Institute to "preserving films and reconstructing the history of Taiwan cinema."
