UNIVERSITY OF EDINBURGH TO PROMOTE TAIWAN

The University of Edinburgh will help promote Taiwanese art and culture by taking part in the Ministry's Spotlight Taiwan program from October 2013 through June 2014.

Calling for “a return to everyday life,” the 2013 Asian Art Biennial will take place from Oct. 5 through Jan. 5 in Taichung City.

An exhibition in Taitung will feature legendary comic artist Ao Yu-hsiang and his signature work, the bestselling “Black Dragon Courtyard” comic series.


‘THE REPUBLIC OF CHINA SCHOOL OF ZHUANKE’

Seals, calligraphy pieces and rare soap stones will be on display at the National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall between Oct. 1 and 17.


‘TAIWAN’S TRANSPORTATION ARCHIVES’

An exhibition detailing Taiwan’s history regarding its transportation infrastructure will be shown at the National Dr. Sun Yat-sun Memorial Hall from Sept. 30 till Oct. 15.


‘TRANS-ALLEGORY' FEATURING NEW MEDIA ART

To help visitors consider the influence of mass media, the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts is hosting a new media art exhibition from Sept. 14 to Nov. 30.
