The Taipei Cultural Center in New York is working with Anthology Film Archives, an international center with a special focus on independent and avant-garde cinema, to present a program titled "Indigenous with a Capital 'I': Taiwan Indigenous Documentaries from 1994 to 2000" from March 10 to 14.
Under the aegis of Taiwan Film and Audiovisual Institute and the Taiwan Cinema Toolkit Project, the King Hu & Taiwanese Martial Arts Film Festival is taking place from March 1 to 16, playing 11 classic films produced or shot in Taiwan, with each film screening twice, along with the seminars.
The Cultural Division of the Taipei Representative Office in the United Kingdom, working with the Whitechapel Gallery, is presenting works of Taiwanese artist Lifang in the Gallery's Spring Exhibition, "Women Artists and Global Abstraction 1940–70."

Taipei Fashion Week AW23, organized by the Ministry of Culture, will take place from March 22 to April. 9. With the theme "Respect the Craftsmanship," the opening show of the event, featuring 70 fashion designs created through collaborations between fashion designers and traditional Taiwanese artists, will be held in Tainan on March 22.

Culture Minister Shih Che paid a one-day visit to Taichung City on March 4, and visited a number of historical sites. As regards the progress of building the National Comics Museum, Minister Shih stated that he is looking forward to working with the Taichung City Government to expedite the progress of the project.

The 2023 Newman Prize for Chinese Literature award ceremony was held on March 3 at the Fred Jones Jr. Museum, located on the University of Oklahoma's campus. Sinophone novelist Chang Kuei-hsing was announced as the winner of the eighth Newman Prize and he was invited to receive the award in the United States.

Yeh Ji-hsiang, a bamboo carving craftsman, was born in Zhushan Township, Nantou County, one of Taiwan's major bamboo producing areas. Because Yeh’s family was engaged in exporting bamboo products to Japan, he grew up with a close relationship with bamboo. He also experienced the gradual decline of the once-prosperous traditional bamboo processing industry through the fate of his own family's factory.

In 2016, Yang Fu-tzu took part in a Soil and Water Conservation Bureau project in Penghu. Interacting with residents of the small fishing village she was working in, she came into contact with the unique local stone weirs for the first time and immediately fell in love with them. In 2019, Yang and her partner Jerry Tseng co-founded Isle.Travel Studio, focusing on keeping the Penghu stone fish weir tradition and culture alive and thriving.
