"2020 Taiwan Contemporary Art Online Exhibition – Taiwan Under COVID-19: United Through Art," a virtual contemporary art exhibition, will present paintings by 36 Taiwanese artists from different generations in India.
L'Ensemble Yu, a band formed by Taiwanese musician Wang Ya-ping, known for finding its inspiration deep in Taiwanese cultural roots, will present their music online as part of the 2020 Jazzycolors Festival.
The inaugural Queer East Film Festival will take place online and in-cinemas across the U.K. until January 2021, with Taiwan as the country of focus this year. Taiwan will be showcasing its rich tradition of LGBTQ+ filmmaking with 10 feature films and 8 short films.

Venture fund launched for original content prospects
The Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA) announced the "Last Stage Fund," a cooperation program with two local audiovisual production promoters to find new international channels for original content from Taiwan.
Booklets published in Japan to promote Taiwanese culture
The Taiwan Cultural Center in Tokyo launched its first Japanese-language booklet "Taiwan Books," aimed to raise the visibility of Taiwanese literary works among the East Asian country's younger readers.
Literature awards ceremony honors diverse creations
The National Museum of Taiwan Literature held the ceremony for the 2020 Taiwan Literature Golden Award in New Taipei City, recognizing the diversity of the nation's literary creations and bringing together veteran writers and emerging authors.

As one of the most influential writers in Taiwan, Hwang Chun-ming is a prolific novelist who chronicles everyday life through the eyes of ordinary people. In addition to being a winner of the 29th National Cultural Award, he was recently bestowed the Golden Award for the 2020 Taiwan Literature Golden Award.
