Alishan Forest Railway has been named Taiwan's first national-level cultural landscape, defined as "Locations or environments formed through longtime interactions between human beings and the natural environments, which are of value from the point of view of history, aesthetics, ethnology, or anthropology."
The Taipei-based National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall will host "Flowing in Mind," a memorial exhibition on one of Taiwan's most acclaimed Fauvist painters — Chang Wan-chung (1909 – 2003), from July 18 through Aug. 20.
