Taiwan to launch a base for comics creation
The Ministry of Culture inaugurated the renovation project of an old building in Taipei on Dec. 20 to transform it into the first comics base in Taiwan. The renovation work is expected to be completed by mid-2018.

The Tainan-based National Museum of Taiwan History is holding a special exhibition offering glimpses into Taiwan history through vintage maps that date as far back as the 16th century.
Annotated checklist of crabs from Taiwan
The National Taiwan Museum launched a new edition of the 'Annotated Checklist of Brachyuran Crabs from Taiwan' by Taiwanese and Singaporean scholars on Dec. 16 to keep the list up to date for research on crab biology.
