A series of films derived from literary works by eminent writers in Taiwan and Hong Kong will premiere in Hong Kong starting January 2016.
"The Inspired Island II,” the second series in a documentary program supported by the Ministry of Culture, will introduce the life and literary contributions of seven celebrated writers of the Chinese-speaking world:
Noted for his stream of consciousness novellas, novelist Liu Yichang (劉以鬯) and his literary world provided the basis for filmmaker Wong Kar-wai's (王家衛) "In the Mood for Love (花樣年華)” and "2046.”
Luo Fu (洛夫), a distinguished Taiwanese poet, is one of the most widely read contemporary poets on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.
