International touring photo exhibition opens at Jut Art Museum

The touring photography exhibition “Civilization: The Way We Live Now (文明:當代生活啟示錄)” is open at the Jut Art Museum (忠泰美術館) in Taipei. It is an international collaboration between the Foundation for the Exhibition of Photography, the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of South Korea, and Taiwan’s Jut Art Museum.

“Civilization: The Way We Live Now” is a major exhibition, featuring the work of 100 of the world’s finest photographers. It addresses and illuminates major aspects of our increasingly global 21st century civilization, stressing the fact that contemporary civilization is an extremely complex collective enterprise.

William A. Ewing, the curator of this exhibition, said that photography is a useful tool for documenting human civilizations. He highlighted that this exhibition offers an opportunity to explore civilizations through the lenses of photographers and present their unique perspectives.

The exhibition is currently open until June 30 at the Jut Art Museum. Additionally, a satellite exhibition will be held at the Noke Shopping Mall in the Dazhi area of Taipei from May 18 to June 30.
