Taiwanese author Kevin Chen (陳思宏) will be featured at the 2023 Texas Book Festival this November! The event will take place in Downtown Austin on Saturday, November 11 Kevin Chen will participate in a panel titled "Literature in Translation" and be joined by Oksana Lutsyshyna, a Ukrainian writer and translator.
This is the first time that Taiwan Academy in Houston, an arm of the Taiwan Ministry of Culture collaborated with the largest book festival in the southern US. From November 11th to 12th, a Taiwanese literature booth at the Festival will present a select list of Taiwan publishing titles, ranging from fiction, non-fiction, children's books, and comic books, to foreign publishers and readers alike!
Additionally, Houston’s Inprint House has invited Kevin Chen for Writers Workshop - Finding Your Voice: An interactive session with author Kevin Chen on November 5 at 2pm. This event is presented in association with Taiwan Academy in Houston.
Furthermore, author Kevin Chen will deliver two speeches at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, on the topics of "Literature in Translation" on November 7 and "Taiwanese Queer Experiences in Ghost Town" on November 9!
