Taiwan Cinema Showcase program featured in Chicago’s film festival

The Asian Pop-Up Cinema film festival in Chicago, running from Mar. 23 to 29, showcases 26 films from South Korea, India, Hong Kong, Japan, Canada, and Taiwan. Through the Taiwan Cinema Showcase, seven films from Taiwan were selected this year, with the directors and actors invited to the U.S. to engage directly with U.S. viewers.

Among the selected Taiwanese films, “A Boy and A Girl (少男少女),” “The Young Hoodlum (壞男孩),” and “After School (成功補習班)” were screened in the Chicago AMC Newcity 14 theater on Mar. 23 and 24. Additionally, “U Motherbaker (我的婆婆怎麼把○○搞丟了),” “God Man Dog (流浪神狗人),” “On the Train (南方,寂寞鐵道),” and “Chinhua’s Blossom Unfolds (一蕊金花)” are screened virtually on the event’s website throughout the event.

The Taiwan Cinema Showcase program is co-organized by the Taipei Cultural Center in New York, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Chicago, and the Asian Pop-Up Cinema. For more information, please refer to the event website
