Taiwan was invited by "Chroniques," the Biennale of Digital Imagination, to be the guest of honor for this year's edition, featuring 11 of Taiwan's outstanding new media artists and Kaohsiung-based VR Film Lab.
Creative Expo Taiwan (CET), Taiwan's most important creative merchandise and image licensing platform, will be held in Taipei in 2021 from Apr. 21 to 25, and is accepting exhibitor applications until Jan. 18.
The inaugural Queer East Film Festival will take place online and in-cinemas across the U.K., with Taiwan as the country of focus, showcasing our rich tradition of LGBTQ+ filmmaking with 10 feature films and 8 short films.

Minister visits restored historical sites in Penghu
Minister Lee journeyed to Penghu to attend the Hung Ken-shen Art Museum opening, and also toured the historical Penghu Post Office, and Penghu Tianhou Temple to inspect cultural preservation and restoration of historical sites.
Taiwanese manga artists win top prizes in Japan
Three Taiwanese comic artists – Rumui, Ruan Guang-min, and D.S. won awards at this year's Japan International Manga Award, and among them, Rumui won the Gold Award for "Funeral Director," while Ruan Guang-min received the Silver Award for "The Illusionist on the Skywalk and Other Stories." The National Human Rights Museum (NHRM) launched "An Exhibition on International Concern for Taiwan Political Prisoners 1960-1992," revisiting the history of human rights activism and specific incidents during that period.

Li Bing-gui's carved works span a wide range of subjects, from statues of deities down to tiny personal accessories. Regardless of the scale, through his blades and axes, he works to carve out the traditional and creative ideas he wants to convey through his woodcarving.

Yen Yung-neng's album "Farming Together" won the Golden Melody Award for Best Taiwanese Album in 2010. He took to the stage barefoot to accept the award and said he created music for the ordinary farming folk of Taiwan and calling on the audience to only eat Taiwan-grown rice.
