With support from the Taiwan Cultural Center in Paris and the Cultural Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Spain, Huang Yi Studio, founded by renowned Taiwanese choreographer Huang Yi, is invited to present the award-winning performance "Huang Yi and Kuka" at theaters in France and Spain from Mar. 24 through Apr. 9.
Asian Pop-Up Cinema: Season 14 will present 7 Taiwanese films from Apr. 4 to 10 in Chicago, Illinois. Selected Taiwanese films will have their U.S. premiers from Apr. 9 to 10, including Chienn Hsiang's intense drama "Increasing Echo," Hsu Fu-Hsiang's action-comedy "Treat or Trick" and Chen Ta-pu's "Grit."
Since 2020, many cultural events have been canceled or rescheduled due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. With the facilitation of Taiwan Cultural Center in Paris, Taiwan's contemporary dance company B.DANCE will return to the international stage with 22 performances in four European countries from Feb. 22 through Apr. 14.

Cultural exchange program for Ukrainian & Russian artists
In response to the international situation, Taiwan is reaching out to artists in Ukraine, Russia, or other areas that are affected by war in order to protect the global artistic talents. This current open call will accept submissions from now until June 30, 2022.
Taiwanese designers won best design award at Grammys
Taiwanese designers Li Jheng-han and Yu Wei won the Grammy Award for Best Recording Package with their design for the album "Pakelang" on April 3 at the 64th Grammy Awards in the United States. It was also the first time that Taiwanese designers won a Grammy Award.
Comics by Taiwanese artists receive acclaim in the U.S.
Two Taiwanese comic artists, Liu Chien-fan and Fang Ruei-yi participated in the 2022 MoCCA Arts Festival, Manhattan's largest comics and cartoon festival, with their co-edited comic anthology "BO_ING COMIX" and personal works. Their works were well-received by the U.S. audiences and they were all sold out.
Cultural Features
Wang Ching-shuang has devoted his life to honing his lacquer techniques and creations, and is especially known for his intricate "high maki-e" technique. He has also dedicated himself to promoting lacquer craft education and was one of the founders of the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute. In 2010, he became the first lacquer craftsman to be named a Preserver of an Important Traditional Craft by MOC.

The National Symphony Orchestra, a performing arts group has been famous around the world as the Taiwan Philharmonic. Over its more than thirty years of experience, the National Symphony Orchestra has given performances spanning symphonic music, chamber music, opera, dance, and crossover productions, presenting a "voice from Taiwan" with confidence, eloquence, and cultural consciousness.
