Taiwanese artist Chang-Ching “Casper” Su presents his solo exhibition “A Dream Cast in Dormancy (Even Shadows Glow in the Dark)” at Murmuration, an artist-run gallery in Chicago, on view from May 3 to May 24. 
Invited by the Taiwan Cultural Center in Tokyo, artist Wang Wen-chih is presenting his artwork “Embrace・Shodoshima” at the Setouchi Triennale 2025 in Japan, which runs until May 25 during the spring session.
The exhibition “Su Yu-Xin: Searching the Sky for Gold,” co-organized by the Taiwan Academy in Los Angeles and the Orange County Museum of Art (OCMA) in California, will be on display from Jan. 31 to May 25.

The National Human Rights Museum (NHRM) hosted a commemorative event to observe the White Terror Memorial Day on May 19 at the Jing-Mei White Terror Memorial Park.

Following its success in winning the U.S. National Book Award for Translated Literature last year, the novel “Taiwan Travelogue” has been awarded the inaugural Baifang Schell Book Prize for Translated Literature by the Asia Society’s China Books Review.

In celebration of the 2025 Taiwan Craft Festival, the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute (NTCRI) launched the “Lin Tien-fu Centenary Commemorative Exhibition” on May 20. 
Cultural Features
Chen Sheng-kuo was born into a family of Taiwanese opera performers in 1954. His father, Chen Ming-chi, founded the Ming Hwa Yuan Arts and Cultural Group, while her mother, Hsu Hsiu-hua, was one of its performers. From a young age, Chen displayed a strong talent for storytelling, inspired by his passion for comics and novels.

The Keelung Fort Commander's Official Residence is located on the eastern shore of Keelung Harbor, which was the most modern neighborhood in Keelung in the 1930s. The residence is located in front of Dashawan Beach, the first seawater bathing beach in Taiwan.
