Marking its fifth edition, the Taiwan Film Festival in Australia returns to cinemas from July 28 to August 13 with a lineup of feature and short films that is screened in four cities across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Canberra. The festival opened with a psychological drama "Goddamned Asura."
Three films by Taiwanese directors as well as two US-Taiwan co-productions have been selected at the 45th Asian American International Film Festival (AAIFF45), which runs from Aug. 3 through 13. Also, Taiwanese American film editor Jean Tsien was announced as the recipient of AAIFF45's Media Award.
The 2022 Vancouver Taiwanese Film Festival is back this August at the VIFF Centre from Aug. 5 to 7, and online from Aug. 8 to 14, under the theme of "The Palette of Life." The festival returns for its 16th year with a total of 14 films that span multiple topics and genres, along with three panel discussions.
