International curation team announced for 2024 Asian Art Biennial

The National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (NTMoFA) announced the curation team for the 2024 Asian Art Biennial on Mar. 7. The event is scheduled to take place in November of this year.

Continuing the tradition of assembling an internationally diverse curation team, this year's lineup includes Fang Yen-hsiang (方彥翔) from Taiwan, Anne Davidian from Armenia, Merv Espina from the Philippines, Haeju Kim from South Korea, and Asli Seven, who is based in Turkey and France. With curators representing varied and distinct backgrounds, the Biennial aims to provide a platform that fosters critical perspectives and encourages intercultural dialogues.

NTMoFA Director Chen Kuang-yi (陳貺怡) remarked that the Biennial, originally scheduled to be held last year, had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She added that the Biennial serves not only as a regular post-pandemic event but also as an opportunity for recovery and regeneration amidst global turbulence.

The 2024 Asian Art Biennial is set to open on Nov. 16. For more information, please visit NTMoFA’s website.
