Open call for ‘2024 Writers-in-Residence of Taiwan Literature Base’

The National Museum of Taiwan Literature (NMTL) is currently accepting applications for the “2024 Writers-in-Residence of Taiwan Literature Base (臺灣文學基地作家駐村)” program. This residency offers a 7 to 30-day stay between August 2024 and July 2025, welcoming interested writers to submit applications.

The Taiwan Literature Base initiated the “Writers-in-Residence” program in 2021, providing a working space at Muse Garden (繆思苑), a former Japanese settlement that was successfully restored, and facilitating active interaction with the public through literature. Since its inception, more than 40 writers from Taiwan, the U.S., France, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Hong Kong have taken part in the program, showcasing diverse literary creations infused with various cultural backgrounds.

Open to Taiwanese and international writers, the online application form is available in multiple languages, including Chinese, English, and Japanese. The deadline for submission is May 15. For more information, please visit NMTL’s website.
