To celebrate its 30th anniversary, the Taipei Cultural Center in New York will launch a series of virtual events, including an online piano concert, Taiwanese cinema features, and invite Taiwanese artists as well as American art institutions that have worked with TCC in New York, to review the course of cooperation over the past 30 years.
The Venice Film Festival announced the list of works selected as part of VENICE VR EXPANDED. A total of seven immersive works from Taiwan were selected, five of which entered the In Competition, one in the Special Event – Out of Competition, and one in Best of VR Expanded – Out of Competition, setting the best record for Taiwanese VR works selected for the Venice Film Festival.
The Venice Film Festival, due to take place from September 1 to 11, unveiled the official line-up for its 78th edition on July 26 set to feature two Taiwanese films, with "The Night" by director Tsai Ming-liang included in the Out of Competition section and "The Falls" by director Chung Mong-hong in the Orizzonti Competition section.
