Supported by the Ministry of Culture, the Queer East Festival in the U.K., running from Apr. 23 to May 18, features Taiwanese films, artists, and writer Chi Ta-wei. 
The exhibition “Su Yu-Xin: Searching the Sky for Gold,” co-organized by the Taiwan Academy, a division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in Los Angeles, and the Orange County Museum of Art in California, will be on display from Jan. 31 to May 25.
Invited by the Taiwan Cultural Center in Tokyo, artist Wang Wen-chih is presenting his artwork “Embrace・Shodoshima” at the Setouchi Triennale 2025 in Japan, which runs until May 25 during the spring session.

The Ministry of Culture hosted the inaugural “Taiwan Culture Base” certificate presentation at the Huashan 1914 Creative Park on May 3, awarding certificates to the 110 selected cultural sites and institutions.

The National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (NTMoFA) has launched the exhibition “Arts as Imprints of the Times – Permanent Collection of the NTMoFA,” showcasing the development of Taiwan’s fine arts since the 18th century.

In celebration of the 130th birthday of renowned Taiwanese painter Chen Cheng-po, the National Museum of Taiwan History launched the exhibition “Painting from Life: The Story and Times of Chang Chieh and Chen Cheng-po—A Special Exhibition”.

Lin Wen-chin was born in Fengyuan, Taichung in 1933. Lin graduated from Feng Yuan Commercial High School in 1950 and worked at a sugar factory for a while before joining the Agricultural Educational Film Company as one of its first film technician trainees. In the very film company, he learned the fundamentals of film production.
