With support from the Ministry of Culture and the Taiwan Cultural Paris Center in Paris, Taiwanese performing arts groups perform in the OFF Festival d'Avignon, one of the world's most renowned fringe arts festivals, from July 7 to 30 in Avignon, France.
With the support from the Ministry of Culture, several Taiwanese performing arts groups will be performing physically at various art festivals in Europe from July to Sep. this year, such as the Avignon Festival in France, Edinburgh Festival Fringe in the UK, and Germany's Internationale Tanzmesse NRW.
Supported by the Ministry of Culture, "One Year Performance 1981-1982" by Taiwanese-American artist Hsieh Tehching will be shown at Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art in Helsinki from April 8 through Oct. 16, as part of the quinquennial ARS22 exhibition program.

Winners of the 33rd Golden Melody Awards
The 33rd Golden Melody Awards announced this year's winners on July 2 at the Kaohsiung Arena. The biggest winner of the night was Singaporean singer-songwriter Tanya Chua, who received a total of eight nominations and won four awards.
Taiwanese novelist wins Maltese Falcon Awards in Japan
Taiwanese novelist Chi Wei-jan's work "Private Eyes" was announced as the winner of this year's Maltese Falcon Award, making Chi the first Taiwanese to win the award. This is the second Japanese award that Chi has won this year after receiving the Honkaku Mystery Award in June.
First Taiwanese artist to win award at Prix Ars Electronica
Taiwanese researcher and new media artist Hsu Jung's open project "Bi0film.net: Resist like bacteria" won the Golden Nica prize in the Interactive Art+ category. The project was co-created with media artist and designer Natalia Rivera​, and Hsu is the first Taiwanese to win the prize.

Kris Yao is one of the few architects from Taiwan who has received an honorary fellowship from the American Institute of Architects. He is a versatile architect who has designed buildings for cultural, educational, residential, transport, medical, commercial, industrial, and religious use. Yao's creative use of materials and space, as well as his Asian architectural aesthetics, have received international acclaim.

The Taiwan Acrobatic Troupe was founded in 1990 and is currently the only professional acrobatic troupe in Taiwan. The troupe has put on many highly acclaimed productions that combine theater, dance, acrobatics, and magic. The productions, such as "The Mysterious World of the Orient" and "The Rhythm of Chinese Acrobatics," which maintain a traditional Chinese flavor, have been particularly well received.
