The Cultural Division of the Taipei Representative Office (TRO) in Germany has invited Taiwanese writer Kevin Chen, author of the renowned novel “Ghost Town” to a series of Taiwanese literary salons in Germany starting Mar. 29. 
The Taiwanese Film Festival in Paris, co-hosted by the Taiwan Cultural Center in Paris and indie cinema La Filmothèque du Quartier Latin, will take place from Mar. 28 to Apr. 6, showcasing 11 feature films and 4 short films from Taiwan for film lovers in France. 
The Bangkok International Book Fair is set to take place at the Queen Sirikit National Conventional Center from Mar. 27 to Apr. 7, featuring Taiwanese literary translations and the winners of Golden Butterfly Award.

The Ministry of Culture (MOC) announced the results of the inaugural “Taiwan Culture Base” submissions on Mar. 31, revealing 110 selected cultural sites and institutions, each of which will receive NT$500,000 in prize money.

The 2025 Newman Prize for Chinese Literature held its award ceremony at the University of Oklahoma on Mar. 28, honoring this year’s winner, Taiwanese poet Ling Yu.

The Taiwan Music Institute of the National Center for Traditional Arts (NCFTA) has launched a series of concerts and exhibitions to mark the 10th anniversary of the passing of renowned composer Ma Shui-long.
Cultural Features
The O-Kai Singers, led by Lai Jia-ching, is an a cappella ensemble formed by members of Taiwanese Indigenous Peoples. Founded in 2004, the group focuses mainly on vocal performances and have toured extensively in Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, the Netherlands, Austria, Italy, the U.S., Canada, Japan, Korea, and Singapore.

Rainbow Village is a landscaped park of painted buildings located in the Chunan Borough of Taichung City’s Nantun District. Primarily comprised of a 50-meter-long alleyway, its walls are painted with various portraits of people, birds, and buffaloes, and floors painted with rainbows, flowers, and words of blessing.
