The 60th Venice Biennale kicked off on Apr. 20, featuring Taiwanese video artist Yuan Goang-ming with his work titled "Everyday War", which encompasses the artist's work from 2014 to now.
LesGaiCineMad, the most important LGBT+ film festival in the Spanish-speaking world, is hosting a special series titled "Cine Queer Taiwán: Abriendo Caminos de Libertad (Queer Cinema Taiwan: Paving the Way for Freedom)".
The Cultural Division of the Taipei Representative Office in the U.K. is hosting a screening event titled "Shape of Home" at the Glasgow Film Theatre from Nov. 7 to 28, presenting four award-winning Taiwanese films by acclaimed directors.

Strangers Press, a British publisher focusing on literature of non-English speaking countries, is publishing a collection of Taiwanese novellas and short stories titled "ká-sióng (假想)," which means make-believe, imagine, or hypothesize in Taiwanese Taigi.

Born in Kaohsiung City, Huang Fei is a renowned Taiwanese singer. She debuted in 2000, and her first solo album earned her the title of Best Female Dialect Singer (now known as Best Female Taiwanese Singer). The title song "Chase Chase Chase (追追追)" became an instant hit in the Sinophone world.

The Beigang Water Cultural Park was established to preserve Beigang Township's first water plant. Designated by the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Yunlin County Government as a heritage site in 2006, the water plant has become a landmark that represents Beigang's history of water provision and modernization.
