The Ministry of Culture, the Cultural Division of the Taipei Representative Office in Germany, and the Taiwanese Representative Office in Lithuania are co-organizing the photography exhibition "Taiwan Two and Two."
The exhibition "Sing With a Pen: The Heavenly Voice of Taiwan's Indigenous Literature," co-hosted by the National Museum of Taiwan Literature and the University of Melbourne, was inaugurated on Sept. 5.  
Organized by Metrograph and supported by Taipei Cultural Center in New York, the festival "Daring Motion: The Films of Mark Lee Ping-bing" will feature 12 films photographed by Lee from Sept. 6 to 30.

The National Human Rights Museum launched the Taiwan International Human Rights Film Festival 2024. The selected films will be screened at Taipei’s Spot Huashan Cinema, the Kaohsiung Film Archive, and the Taichung Film Development Foundation.

The Bureau of Cultural Heritage hosted the National Day for Cultural Heritage 2024 event at the Taiwan Contemporary Cultural Lab on Sept. 21 and 22, bringing together 22 cities and counties to present a “National Cultural Heritage Expo.”

The Ministry of Culture and the Academy of Moral and Political Sciences under the Institut de France, the highest academic body in France, co-presented the Taiwan-France Cultural Award on Sept. 23, honoring three individuals.

After graduating from middle high school, Lin Liang-tai began learning the craft of building fishing boats. At 25, he met a Taoist paper art master, which led him to enter the field of wooden Wang Yeh boat making. As a skilled craftsman, Lin was able to create exceptional and customizable Wang Yeh boats.

The Old City of Fengshan County is an ancient fortified city built to defend against rioters during the Qing dynasty. As the first city of its kind in Taiwan, the site preserves unique Chinese architectural and cultural elements such as portraits of the two guardian gods at the entrance, a Tu Di Gong shrine, and a city moat.
