The 2024 Queer Screen's Mardi Gras Film Festival kicked off on Feb. 15, featuring the Taiwanese film "Who'll Stop the Rain" directed by Su I-hsuan. The premiere took place at the Event Cinemas in Sydney City alongside the post-screening talk on Feb. 17. 
Taiwanese artist Kao Pao-hui's solo exhibition "25 Seasons – Landscapes of Paper and Lacquer" opens now until March 17, 2024, at the Spazio Nobile Gallery in Belgium. 
The Thailand Biennale 2023 kicked off in Chiang Rai on Dec. 9. This year's theme is "Open World." Among 60 artists from around the globe, three Taiwanese artists were invited to showcase their artworks.

The 2024 Taipei International Book Exhibition commenced on Feb. 20 with an opening ceremony graced by the presence of President Tsai Ing-wen, Deputy Culture Minister Lee Ching-hwi, and other distinguished guests.

The Beigang Mazu pilgrimage has been approved as an important folk custom after being evaluated by the Ministry of Culture's Folklore Review Committee on Feb. 17. This marks the 23rd national-level folk custom that is recognized by the ministry.

The Ministry of Culture organized an author talks event at the 2024 Taipei International Book Exhibition on Feb. 22, where nine authors were invited to share their experiences of participating in the international residency programs. 
Cultural Features
Graduated from the Department of Communication Arts of Fu Jen Catholic University, Lin Chun-yang works in film productions as a freelancer. He usually plays the role of a film director or a cinematographer. He made his directorial debut with "The Soul of the Bread" in 2012.

The Central Bookstore was established in 1927 by Chuang Chui-sheng. Chuang was a member of the Taiwanese Cultural Association, a cultural organization that gathers Taiwanese intellectuals. Supported by the local gentry families, the bookstore became an important meeting point for the association members in Taichung.
