Supported by the MOC and the Taiwan Cultural Center in Paris, Debby Wang and DAT Quartet are set to play at the 2024 Jazzycolors Festival in Paris on Nov. 20. Following their performance, the group will also play in Vienna on Nov. 22 and Milan on Nov. 23.
The 60th Venice Biennale kicked off on Apr. 20, featuring Taiwanese video artist Yuan Goang-ming with his work titled "Everyday War," which encompasses the artist's work from 2014 to now.
LesGaiCineMad, the most important LGBT+ film festival in the Spanish-speaking world, is hosting a special series titled "Cine Queer Taiwán: Abriendo Caminos de Libertad (Queer Cinema Taiwan: Paving the Way for Freedom)."

"Taiwan Travelogue," a novel by Yang Shuang-zi, translated into English by Lin King, was awarded the U.S. National Book Award for Translated Literature on Nov. 20. This marks the first time a Taiwanese literary work has received this prestigious honor.

Attended by Minister of Culture Li Yuan, Director of the National Museum of Taiwan Literature Chen Ying-fang, as well as other distinguished guests, the 2024 Taiwan Literature Awards ceremony was held at the Huashan 1914 Creative Park on Nov. 16.

Organized by the NTMoFA, the 2024 Asian Art Biennial, titled "How to Hold Your Breath," is now open at the NTMoFA in Taichung City. The event is taking place until Mar. 2, 2025, and features 83 artworks by 35 artists from various countries.

Born in Puli Township, Nantou County in 1971, Liang Chih-wei moved to Taiping District, Taichung City with his mother when he was eight. His parents, who worked as art educators, played an important role in his life, sparking his interest in art at a young age.

Located in Fengshan District, Kaohsiung City, Fongyi Academy is the largest and most complete Qing Dynasty academy still in existence in Taiwan. It has been carefully restored by the Kaohsiung City Cultural Bureau, preserving its original historical appearance.
