Aichi University is organizing a series of Taiwan seminars and film screenings under the theme "Cultural Impact of the New Southbound Policy."

Grants offered for Southeast Asian artists
To foster deeper and more diverse collaboration in the arts among the cultural communities of Southeast Asia and Taiwan, a grants program offered by the Ministry of Culture will accept proposals through Oct. 19, 2018.
Wanguo Theater receives new lease on life
As part of a nationwide film house revitalization campaign, the Wanguo Theater will be preserved as a witness of the history of Taiwanese film and television while serving as a distinctively local stage for the nation's audiovisual artists.
Tainan sugar factory to become film studio
Annei Sugar Factory, an abandoned refinery situated in the southern city of Tainan, has been granted a budget of NT$1.2 billion by the Ministry of Culture in its transformative bid to become a film production base.
Chiayi museum to rebrand itself
A budget of NT$25 million will be allocated to the Chiayi Municipal Museum for renovations, with a sustainability plan in the making to rebrand the museum with new exhibitions that can better present the unique characteristics of Chiayi.
