Backed by Taiwan’s Ministry of Culture, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Sydney has partnered with the Biennale of Sydney to present four Taiwanese artists at this year’s festival.
With support from the Ministry of Culture (MOC), Authors’ Reading Month is being held in Poland through June 22. The event brings 16 Taiwanese writers to engage Central European readers.
The Taiwan Academy in Los Angeles, in collaboration with The Music Center, is presenting “Life in Motion”, an interactive digital installation by Taiwanese artist Po-Hao Chi, on view through June 28.

The Ministry of Culture (MOC), in collaboration with the Living Arts International (LAI) Taiwan Office, launched the “2026 Constant Crossings” cultural exchange program on June 10 at the Taiwan Contemporary Culture Lab (C-LAB).

Taiwanese comics have recently scored a string of international successes. Chang Sheng’s “Yan” was shortlisted in two categories at the U.S. Eisner Awards, while Eli Lin, MurJi, and JASONZ won honors at the KADOKAWA World Manga Contest in Japan.

The National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra (NTSO) will present “Tung-Chieh Chuang, Ting-Wei Chen & NTSO” on June 12 and 13 at Taipei’s National Concert Hall and Taichung’s NTSO Concert Hall, respectively, as part of its 2025/26 Season. 
Cultural Features
Born in 1936 in Beigang Township, Yunlin County, Chen Mao-shuen was a key promoter of Taiwan’s musical composition and education after World War II. He grew up in a family deeply devoted to music. His father, Chen Chia-hu, was chairperson of the Beigang Music Association; his mother, Chen Lin Kuan-lan, was a pianist.

About 56 kilometers away from Keelung Port in northern Taiwan, there is a small volcanic island named Pengjia Islet, which is home to the eponymous Pengjia Islet Lighthouse. Construction on the 26.2-meter tall Pengjia Islet Lighthouse began in 1906 and ended in July 1909.
