With support from the Cultural Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Prague, Taiwanese Amis rock band Outlet Drift and singer-writer Chih-Chih will be featured at the Colours of Ostrava, the iconic Czech music festival. 
The 59th Festival Off Avignon kicked off with an opening parade on July 4, featuring 1,347 international performing groups, including Taiwan's Hung Dance, Mailantia Dance Company, D_Antidote Production, and Formosa Circus Art.
The Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA) has partnered with the Museum of the Moving Image (MoMI) in New York to present the virtual reality (VR) exhibition “Portals of Solitude: Virtual Experiences from Taiwan.”

Organized by the Ministry of Culture, the cultural program titled “We TAIWAN” will take place from Aug. 2 to 20 at Expo 2025 Osaka in Japan. On July 14, the MOC held a prelaunch press conference to unveil the diverse lineup of Taiwanese performances.

The 2025 Creative Expo Taiwan (CET), titled “Water Scapes,” is set to take place at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park and Nangang Exhibition Center in Taipei from Aug. 2 to 11.

The National Museum of Taiwan Literature (NMTL) announced the winners of the 2025 Taiwan Literature Awards for Original Works on July 16. This year’s competition was remarkable, receiving a record-high 180 submissions across four categories.
Cultural Features
Chen Cheng-hsiung has been passionate about painting since childhood. During middle school, he showed his great talent in the arts. Through an introduction from his father’s friend, the prominent painter Kuo Hsueh-hu, Chen began studying sketching and oil painting at the age of 17.

During the Qing Dynasty, Fengshan County in Taiwan had two cities, Fengshan Old City and Fengshan New City. The construction of Fongyi Academy was prompted by the Lin Shuangwen Rebellion of 1786-1788, which left the old city (now Zuoying) in ruins, along with the Pingshan Academy that had been located there.
