The 35th SummerWorks Performance Festival in Toronto, Canada, is set to take place from Aug. 7 to 17. This year’s festival will feature three remarkable works by two Taiwanese dance companies. 
Organized by the Ministry of Culture, the cultural program titled “We TAIWAN” will take place from Aug. 2 to 20 at Expo 2025 Osaka in Japan. The program is poised to showcase the creative energy in Taiwan’s artistic field with four thematic sections. 
With support from the Ministry of Culture, Taiwanese performing arts groups — Chun Dance, S.Production, Yinalang Group, and Lu Production — are featured in the Taiwan Season at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2025.

“We TAIWAN” has attracted over 60,000 visitors in its first nine days. The event has been covered by the Mainichi Shimbun, one of Japan’s major newspapers, which introduced Taiwanese puppetry, literature, and films to Japanese readers.

The 2025 Creative Expo Taiwan (CET) successfully concluded on Aug. 11, marking several new milestones—including its largest exhibition space to date, and record highs in the number of exhibitors, booths, and international participants.

The Ministry of Culture announced the finalists of the 49th Golden Tripod Awards for Publications (GTA) on Aug. 13, revealing 106 selected works. The winners will be named in late August, with the award ceremony scheduled for September.
Cultural Features
Born in 1975 in Chiayi County, Li studied art and craft in high school. As a sophomore, he chose to specialize in pottery, partly because the materials were more affordable than other art media. However, over time, he developed a genuine passion for molding clay and creating pottery.

The Banqiao Broadcasting Station was constructed in 1930 and began its operations in 1931. Designed by Japanese architect Shunichi Kuriyama, the façade of the building emphasizes horizontal lines, which is a typical feature of Taiwanese modernist architecture in the late period of Japanese rule (1895-1945).
