2019 Taiwan Comic Art Festival in Taipei
The 2019 Taiwan Comic Art Festival will kick off on Sept. 24 at the Taiwan Comic Base under the theme "Roaming Across Domains" to showcase the vast opportunities made possible by introducing the comic arts to fields such as theater, film, literature, food, music, and technology.
2019 Asian Art Biennial in Taichung
Curated by Taiwan's Hsu Chia-wei and Singapore's Ho Tzu-nyen, the 2019 Asian Art Biennial will be staged by the Taichung-based National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts this October under the theme "The Strangers from beyond the Mountain and the Sea."

Yu Long-hui was one of Taiwan's most influential wuxia comic artists of the 1960s, with the scene said to be dominated by Yu in the north and Hsu Mao-sung in the south. He was honored with a Special Contribution Award at the 2019 Golden Comic Awards.
