With the support from the Cultural Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Spain, Taiwanese video artists Tseng Yu-chin and Ding Chien-chung's new media artworks will be on view at the art space White Lab in Madrid from Sep. 8 to 19, as part of the 14th PROYECTOR video art festival.
Under the support of the Ministry of Culture and Culture Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Malaysia, "Malaysia TAGCC 2021-Taiwan-Malaysia International Comic Week" was launched on September 15 to promote the soft power of comics from Taiwan and Malaysia.
Under the support of the Cultural Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Russia, the works of Taiwanese performing artist Hsieh Tehching will be on display at the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art in Moscow from Sep. 10 to Jan. 30, 2022, as part of the exhibition "Spirit Labor: Duration, Difficulty, and Affect."

Taiwanese artist Wu Shih-hung was awarded The Raymond Leblanc Prize in Belgium on Sep. 10 for his comic work "Storms over Hills and Ocean," adapted from writer Yang Mu's autobiography of the same name, making him the first Taiwanese and non-European to win the award.
Presidential Culture Awards announced 2021 winners
The 11th Presidential Culture Awards announced the list of winners on Sep. 10, including film director Ang Lee, physician Chen Rong-chi, founder of HRC Dance Studio Bojin Chen, the Dr. Chen Wen-chen Memorial Foundation, and the Taiwan Thousand Miles Trail Association.
Taiwanese photographer wins Prix de le Photographie
The winners of this year's Prix de le Photographie Paris were announced, with Miaoli-based photographer Tzeng Chin-fa winning one gold prize for his series of works "Water Dance," which captured the graceful postures of gorgeously dressed dancers under water, along with eight bronze prizes.

A self-proclaimed "social education screenwriter," Lu Shih-yuan has won three Golden Bell Awards for drama screenwriting and has been a writer for Taiwan Television, a film writer, and a producer. Her most iconic works include "Long Day's Journey into Light," "Dear Ex," "The World Between Us," and "The Arc of Life." Building on a solid foundation of fieldwork, Lu has proven adept at writing about social issues with wit and dignity, striving to provide a variety of perspectives by exploring the societal factors that underpin the stories she tells.

Over the past 32 years, Dance Forum Taipei has invited 56 choreographers and 168 designers to present 83 modern dance productions. They have also been dedicated to cultivating new professional dancers, continuing to host and participate in campus art promotion activities, and establishing for themselves a distinctive personality among the dance world both at home and abroad. The company has toured in Taiwan, the United States, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Canada, Japan, South Korea, and Hong Kong, putting on shows involving everything from traditional puppet theater to street dance, classical Chinese music to the music of Ryuichi Sakamoto, Japanese garden aesthetics to European performances styles.
